Who we are

Thames Valley FibroScan is a trading name of Purpletulip Doctors Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 08067570. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Purpletulip Doctors Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

What we collect and why

Contact form. If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, relying on our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us. Your message is delivered to us by email and is not stored on this website. Please do not include medical details in the contact form; these are better discussed at your appointment.

Bookings and payments. Appointments are booked and paid for through Carebit, a specialist healthcare booking system, which appears on this site in an embedded booking form. Any information you enter into the booking form, including health information you choose to provide, is collected and processed by Carebit under its own privacy policy. Card payments are processed by Stripe through Carebit; we never see or store your card details.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. Enquiries are delivered to us by an email delivery provider acting on our instructions. Booking and payment information is handled by Carebit and Stripe as described above.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own. We use no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies anywhere on it, and nothing on these pages tracks you across other websites.

Cookies appear only if you use the booking form. Carebit sets a session cookie and a security token, so that your booking works and cannot be tampered with. Stripe sets cookies it uses to detect fraudulent card payments, and to recognise you if you have previously saved your card details with Stripe on another website. These are set by Carebit and Stripe rather than by us, and are covered by their own privacy and cookie policies.

How long we keep enquiries

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct it, and ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will put it right. You can find more information about your rights at ico.org.uk.
